Upgrade to actinic V7

Hi

I have been given two different prices for upgrading v6 business to v7 business, and i was told i had to take out actinic cover.

Two questions:

1 does anyone have a correct price?
2 do you have to take out cover?

Also is it a worthwhile upgrade, it seems to have more features!

Any help appreciated.

If you buy Actinic cover you will get the upgrade to v7 for free and the cost of cover is usually about the same as the cost of upgrading (the list price of both is about £250 I think).

V7 has lots of new features in it - I think it is worth upgrading but that's only my opinion (and if you look at my site it is still at V6 but that is just temporary while my V7 site is being completed).

You say you are building your v7 site, I suspect its not a case of just upgrading the software, is there alot of back end work involved too?

I was thinking I just pop a CD in and we are off! We paid a developer to link everything up will I need to involve them?

Actually I upgraded my two V6 sites to V7 very easily - which is a first because I am notoriously bad at that sort of thing. It probably took about 15 minutes to install V7 and upgrade both sites. I haven't moved over to it yet because I have also had my site redesigned and am adding a referrer scheme and trying to reword most of the product details. It is ready now but I have one or two tiny things to change.

Upgrading can be tricky if you have made a lot of design changes as they will need to be integrated into the new site - however you can install V7 and leave V6 in place, you can then put V7 into test mode and upload it to a test area on your server, this allows you to make sure it is fully working before you move over to it.
