    Page name

    Hi
In version 6 of catalog you could rename the page names to have hyphens instead of the dropped dash in the page name but version 7 keeps putting it back to the dropped dash. Eg, I want mens-running-shoes.html instead of mens_running_shoes.html. This is very important to my sites as the search engines also look at the page name as well as the page title and they do not like the dropped dash.

Is there a way I can make the program accept a hyphen instead as it used to do!
    Thanks Deborah

Any news on this query yet, I'm getting a bit desperate by now!
    Many thanks Deborah

What makes you think that search engines don't like _

As far as I am aware it makes no difference whether you have - or _

We have 100's of pages in the Search Engines with - in the URL. If these are re-named then it will give an error on every indexed page and cost our customers money and our jobs.

Why change it so you can't put a - in the URL. It makes no sense.

Please give us an option to put a - in the URL.

          Hi Deborah

I beleive that the - vs _ problem is a bug in the software which will be fixed in the release of version 7.02.

Actinic, any news on V7.02? I was under the impression it should be out now.

          Hope this helps

          Regards

We have started the final stages of testing (i.e. treating it like we are particularly demanding customers). The beta program will kick off when the testing is completed - probably in a few weeks.
