Free shipping individual products

Hi there,
The shipping for the site is based on value and works fine.
However, I wish to have free shipping on 3 products and the only way I can see of doing this is by having a free shipping class which is user selectable, however the users are making mistakes and selecting free shipping when they shouldn't and paying for shipping when they don't have to!

I read the thread on free shipping by weight by that obviously does not apply in my circumstance.

Any ideas?

I am sorry, but because you are using value, I see no way of doing this, however I will add the suggestion to our wish list.
