Froogle Feed Corruption

My Froogle feed data is not the same as the data in the site data base.

I have products missing (which are not excluded from the froogle feed) and I have prices missing on many products.

I have some products which are correct in the froogle feed, but when I make changes the the cataloge sometimes they reflect in the Froogle feed but sometimes not.

I compacted the data base, this did not make any changes.

The cataloge is linked to an Excel worksheet, I tried closing the link and re exporting this also made no change the the feed data when I reexported.

I tried exporting to different file names.

Are you using price schedules within your site? Do the products that are not being exported have "Product Visible" unchecked in the "Prices" tab?

I am not using price schedules within the site. The "Product Visible" "Prices" tab is checked an all products which I am trying to export.

hmmm, I can see any reason why those products are not being exported then.

Froogle Problem

I already posted form 35603 and you have snapshot in your snapshot download folder.

I also have more bad news from Froogle Uk.

Froogle Uk will only accept VAT inclusive pricing.
Although it is easy to deal with this by manipulating the Actinic output data, it is something you should consider.

If you are linking to external data, Actinic makes a copy of your data in it's own database when you first link, so maybe the froogle feed is using that out of date information. If you preview a full catalog report, Actinic should copy the external data into the catalog database again to use for that report, so I would suggest doing that and seeing if your results are more what you need.

I am writing a little froogle mash program that will correct the current Actinic feed for the new froogle UK format, so you could use that to add VAT to the feed when it is released.

Hi all

having been playing with the feed and getting lots of errors i finaly got froogle to accept one, then i got an email back saying my shop will not be shown yet and they will let me know when the UK one is ready.

I had loads of problems with unrecognised feed, i registered a new feed and stripped all but 50 products out, this got rejected because of the VAT issue once i sorted this it finally went through. For the life of me i am not sure what caused the unrecognised feeds, but hey we must be getting closer.

if anyone wants to see the file format let me know and i will post a copy

I ran the full catalog report, It has the same errors as the froogle feed, I have not had any feed back from Actinic about my snapshot.

I am going reinstall Actinic to see if this solves the problem.

The initial tests have gone very well and the mashed feeds are working with froogle as more feeds are tested there will probably be a few little problems but they should be fairly easy to sort out.
