    search optimisation question

    Hi Guys, I am using web position gold to optimise my site for search engines. I notice that actinic places the company name at the start of the HTML page title, is there any way to manipulate actinic to have the company name appear after the page name in order to have my wanted keyword at the start of the HTML page title. I have tried putting in a full stop in BUSINESS SETTINGS: COMPANY NAME, but this messes up the outgoing email.

    Hope this makes sense, would appreciate any advice .

    Hi There,
    Thew only thing I can think of is to go into you Act_primary & Act_BrochurePrimary templates (edit them with dreamweaver or what ever you use), in the html code, at the top you'll see;

    <title>NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER NETQUOTEVAR:PAGENAME</title>

    just swap them round,
    <title>NETQUOTEVAR:PAGENAME NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER</title>
    remember to leave a space between them.

    hope it helps

      if you are using V7 then there is an option to customise every <title> on the section dialog box.

      Hawkwind_daves reply is correct for v5 and v6

        Thanks Dave and Jo, changed it to "<title>NETQUOTEVAR:PAGETITLE NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER </title> " I'm guessing page name/title is the same thing but the page "view source looks" the same. In any case will be upgrading to version 7 soon so no big deal at present.

        Thanks a lot for your help

              I can't see those pages - do I have to subscribe somewhere?

              thanks
