Error with redirection

I have a development site similar to a live site and both have the same domain name but different directories off the root, ie., mydomain/shop/index.html and mydomain/dev/index.html.

When working in the /dev/ site I often get redirected to the live site in /shop/. The path and URL settings are all correct, so why should this happen?

Have you checked the redirection URL's, this gets missed when using a test site and you have imported it from your live site

Have a look under DESIGN|OPTIONS|MICISCELANEOUS here you will find url's for completed and aborted url's and the home button
