Anyone got a solution to a jumbled up shopping cart?

Hello All. Sometimes (but not all the time), when you 'add to basket' on my site, you get forwarded to what should be the shopping cart screen, except all the images/text/general layout has been moved around into an order that makes no sense.
Sometimes this happens after you tick the box to remove an item from the cart when you click on 'update'.

I've tried a web refresh, but that doesn't seem to have sorted it. As I said, it doesn't happen all the time.
If anyone could have a look at my site: www.theperfectpad.co.uk to see if they can figure it out i'd be really grateful. I have saved a screenshot of the problem as well - which can be emailed.

Has anyone else had this - i'd be really grateful for some help.

    Thanks.

I can see what you mean, have not the faintest idea why though, it looks like it is loading the menu bar into the cart page, it seems to be something to do with your shopping cart status page.

I think you will need someone with a lot more brains than me

    Cheers
    Darren

      Hi

I have had issue with this before and for some unkno reason it all started to work fine. I think it when you do a web upload. As I have got this problem again when I just did an upload today and haven't changed any of the shopping cart templates.

Is this some sort of issue with Actinic???

Sorry couldn't be of more help at the moment.

      Cheers

Glad to hear i'm not alone on this one Darren. As you say, there doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern as to when it happens. I keep thinking i've got it sorted when it happens again.
Let me know if you have any luck.

            Hi

I see that is seems to have fixed itself. This is what has happened with mine, and I haven't made any changes to the template. Has anybody else seen this????

            Cheers

                Hi

I have got another thread open about this and have informed them you are having a problem too. The thread is http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?p=43889

It might be worth as all try to work together to get this sorted.

It looks like it is ok now. Did you do a site refresh. By the way who do you have your site hosted by???

                Cheers

The shopping basket is built on the fly by the Actinic perl scripts - with the basket details being inserted into Act_ShoppingCartXML.html, which is then inserted into Act_ShoppingCart.html which is then inserted into the overall layout template.

There is no problem with the HTML being generated - the problem is with the server maybe not having the resources at the time to allow the Perl to do everything it needs to in a timely fashion to display the cart. Maybe you could ask your hosting company to extend the time-out allowed to Perl scripts to ensure it always loads the basket fully.
