Intermittent Checkout Error

Hi there,

We are having a problem with our site (http://www.jamm.uk.com), as that when you are in the checkout area, when you browse between the shopping basket and checkout, sometimes the page isn't displayed correctly, the shopping cart seems to display itself twice and the page looks all jumbled up.

Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? I understand this can be hard to trace as it doesn't happen all the time.

My suspicion is that you are experiencing similar display issues to the chaps in http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=9403 in that you have a very design-heavy cart and checkout, so if there is a problem with the server processing the Perl, the effect is that the tables in the shopping cart get all messed up as the page has not been drawn correctly.

One suggestion is to use a much simpler overall layout template for your 'Vew Cart' page - although this is only a feature introduced in v7.

The other option is to talk to your web hosting company about a longer timeout for Perl processes to ensure that the shopping cart script always finishes loading correctly to avoid this issue.
