    pulse8internet and cgi-bin settings

My sub-client has a site set up for www.firstdomain.com on pulse8internet..
His new site www.2nddomain.com is assigned to a subfolder on the same hosting package. There is a cgi-bin assigned to the subfolder

    root firstdomain
    seconddomain folder
    cgi-bin

Trying to load actinic to www.2nddomain.com. The files are going to the right place but it cannot complete the merge. The wizard says the specified cgi-bin-url or possibly the path to the cgi-bin is not correct. Check the cgi-bin url and try again...web server returned (404) notfound..

Is it because the path is wrong or the cgi-bin is not working. Any thoughts. All perl files find there way to cgi-bin but you can't add to the basket..
    thanks

    Hi Jenny

Seeing that no one has responded to your thread, it may be that not many people have Actinic stores on pulse8 internet. I would suggest in calling Actinic Support if you have cover on: 0845 129 4848, or register an email query on: http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm

We could try to configure it for you to work with Actinic

Sounds to me like the path is wrong rather than the cgi-bin not working.

If the CGI-bin wasn't working you probably wouldn't get a 404 error (page not found).

No it seems as if the hosting wasn't set up correctly, as they have "tweaked" something and now it works.
        Thanks guys
