editable component quantities?

If the customer orders 2x Product and (component accessories) - how can i allow him/her to edit the component quantity to be different to the product quantity? e.g. he orders 6 pairs of shoes but only wants 1x shoe polish(component), not 6x shoes with 6x shoe polish.

Hi there

I'm afraid this is not possible - component quantities are always tied to product quantities.

You will need to have the shoes and the polish as two different products and then either

1. Create link from the main product the 'accessory' product via the 'Links' tab od the main product, or
2. Lay out the 'component' product in a compact row right underneath the main product. This is described in 'DesignGuide.pdf' (in the 'Starter Guides' folder)
