    Express ordering

Does anyone know how to create a QUICK ADD button to allow customers to complete a simple 'form' with one row for each product and entry fields for part number and quantity? Many of my repeat customers know the part numbers and would find this facility very helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi Alan

I'm afraid i have never seen this being implemented into Actinic. A form which you can put in your part number and quantity, then it will add the information to the basket. For this to work from the users input, you would need an online database which will lookup the part number and relay that information to the basket. I'm afraid this cannot be done with Actinic, as the software does not upload the database at all.

    Kind Regards

Does Actinic just use the values submitted in the form to add something to the cart or does it also parse the product page to get additional details ?

For simple products with no options, the only product specific details the form submits only seems to be the product ID which the customer could enter himself.

        Hi Mike,

No, I don't want it to parse the product details. Just a simple form for customers who know the part number and price and want to order with the minimum of time and fusas. I also don't want a form entry to result in displaying the cart contents.

Sorry Alan, my question was aimed at Nadeem. I was trying to find out from him what the problems were that meant:

For this to work from the users input, you would need an online database which will lookup the part number and relay that information to the basket.
As to the cart, that's the heart of the actinic ordering system and can't be bypassed. Even if you could I wouldn't recommend it. Your customers need to be able to see that what they wanted is what they're getting.
