ACT_PrimaryCheckout.html - Why?

Is there any reason why I can use the same temeplate from my main pages in the checkout stages.

In my normal (ACT_Primary) pages I call a bit of jave script which calculates the next delivery date based upon the current day & time. It would make sense to have this info displayed in the right-hand column during the checkout process.

Any thoughs anyone? (and no I have'nt tried it yet)

you can use the same primary for the checkout pages, its just that in some cases it is a good idea to have a different layout.
