Adding Files to the CGI-BIN folder

I have file MAIL.CGI that I would like actinic to upload to the CGI-BIN folder on my site. The script is the back end to a "Join our Mailing list" page.

Is this possible? I have included the file in Additional Files, but presumably I need to specify the destination too?

You can only get Actinic to upload files external to its template stuff using the Additional Files directive under Advanced, and these will only go into the acatalog folder.

If you are on Linux, then you should be ok uploading it to the acatalog folder anyway, unless they restrict your script usage to the cgi-bin, which is the norm for windows hosts anyways.

I've just tried manually putting the mail.cgi into the acatalog folder and so log as I set the permission to 755 the script works.

      Can/will Actinic set the permissions?

actinic will not set permissions. But since you have set it this should be ok.

The only issue you will have is if you refresh the website

ok thanks... I think I leave it as a manual addtion then.

Anybody know of a ftp app that can support scripting?
