CVV2 obligatory

Our site asks our customers for their CVV2 three digit number from the back of the credit/debit card. However, many of them are simply omitting this piece of information, which means we can't process orders through our new credit card machine.

Is there a way of making the CVV2 field obligatory?

View --> Business Settings --> Payment and Security

Configure Method (after highlighting CC details captured..)
Then put a tick in the CVV2 box next to the card types. Now you cannot submit the CC number on the site without this box being filled in, it also checks to see if the number is correct by using a equation to check it against the CC number.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I've done all that, but apparently we're still getting orders through without the CVV2 number, so customers are obviously able to submit their orders without it.

Have you specified that you want a CVV2 number for EVERY credit card listed in the 'Configure Method' window for credit cards.

Also, I could do some testing if you let us know the URL of the problematic site.
