Good man on releasing that info.

There must be a few peeps doing `research` on it now!

I'm going to make three separate postings in the next few minutes in the Actinic News conference on three aspects of Feefo - why independent? pricing and how it works. That should keep the discussions more compact.

I understand that you have to cater for the masses and from what we discussed on Wednesday most people asked for clarity on the things that were detailed in Darren's presentation.

Will his presentation next year be glitch free? The poor bugger hasn't had much luck so far has he?

The conference was not designed in any way to be a v10 launch so understandably it didnt get that much of a focus from the Actinic team. It is however an important release so feeding as much information to customers as soon as possible would be a good plan of action.

We've already noticed people being put off by the possible costs so squelching rumours and getting the facts (FACTS) made public will help people decide if its something they want to add to their site via the upgrade.
totally agree george, sadly this is what happens when something is announced ahead of time, people clamour for detail that just isnt there yet. Result? rumour, speculation and mis-information and disapointment.

I've learnt over the years, to take note of new features but pencil them in for implementation at least 6-12 months later. Sad but true.

Hopefully actinic will be able to become more reactive (new featues) with the introduction of an API. Modern day packages seems to benefit from opening up let hope actinic can too

PS Will there be a `next order` button in v10?
I didn't hear it discussed at the conference, George.

Maybe you should have primed me.

As we managed to go out of stock on two normally slow items yesterday while I was at #actinic09, v10 and the new stock control can't come soon enough

We have got some figures, but it's all so hot off the press that we haven't got everything lined up yet. In fact I only sent the signed contract back this week. If I say too much more, marketing will want to take me out and shoot me

Hopefully I can get news out in the fairly near future.

    Chris
Come on Chris this is all a bit woolley. You've told us you've been speaking to them for 2 years. You said there would be something exciting to be announced at the conference, it is now announced, people are interested and want to get some fundamental information.

Given you've signed the agreement recently, one assumes you've sorted the pricing out before doing that, so let us know please. If you pander to marketing, you might just lose the interest of a lot of people, whose interest you tried to gain in the first place.

If you announce new things like this, surely you can appreciate people are going to want to know about it immediately. If you can't give that info, surely holding back any mention of the solution is a better idea. Communication seems such a difficult concept with Actinic at times.

the only concern i have with putting my eggs in one basket is what happen if i decide i dont want feefo anymore?

Im guessing all my ratings will be wiped clean, and i bet i wont own the rights to the data either. If i cancel then my site rating is cancelled aswell this i can understand but the lost product reviews would be a PITA. From what i understand the codepath system still gives you access to your data / is stored with actinic.
