sSectionTemplate in V8 database is confusing.

why does this show the name of a file?

i understand tht this was upgraded from v7's templates system, but i cant find a reference to my old templates, since my upgrader failed.

updating them manually, is a pain so i'm writing something to set them automagically, but, how do i set the 'section link layout' template on a section using raw database edits.

That field isn't used any more I'm afraid. Trying to link layouts together with products/sections in the database is very difficult in v8 as there is this table called 'UserDefinedProperties' that links certain layout IDs to certain content IDs and it all gets a bit confusing.

You are better off fiddling around in the main interface to do all the assignments.
