To try and give you something positive Brian, you should be able to rescue all of the products, which is usually the largest part (timewise) of a site being built. You are going to need to convert to a standard actinic theme or contact a designer though to be honest, i sincerely hope you haven't parted with any money.

If you do go with someone else

better still stear clear of designers and do it yourself - if you have waited 4 months for the site in this state then you could apply a default theme and slowly build the site yourself.
