move view cart, contents and checkout to top nav

Hi Guys,

Tyring to move view cart, checkout and cart contents box to show under the searchbox and if possible in its own "frame" if you will.

Please help...

There's no quick way, you're probably going to have to move code. Or position it using CSS. Are you basing this on a theme which one?.

Yes it is Actinic Contemporary theme. I am trying to work with the css file. I do not know how to add a right column without affecting the products page single column layout.

This involves various changes in your CSS and layouts and you'd need to change various widths and make sure central areas work. You might want to learn CSS / HTML.

thanks Louise for replying to help. What about putting it in the upper nav bar between the search and login?? Would I cut and paste the html or use the css. what would you recommend??

Yes you could move it there, you're going to need to copy code and lay items out horizontally. If you click on elements in Design copy the code.

I did that with my 2 buttons i added in; Portfolio and Services. I will insert the code after the login button. Might need assistance in resizing or changing the "cart contents / value box" to be sise by side instead of ontop of one another.
