    grrr...flaky fragments!!

I swear I'm gonna start cursing like a fisherman soon!

What IS it with fragments and V8? They're so damn temporamental!

I've never really used them much, not in brochure pages anyway, but it seems every time I try to put new ones in...cut them..move them around..they have their own set of rules and they're not much listening to me (yes yes, I know..no one does!)

I've lost count how many times I've had to compact just to get rid of a fragment in the preview pane that I've already deleted or to make sure the layout changes right.

Please say these have been looked at in 8.5.2?

Save your sanity and make a trimmed out product layout to work the way you want it as a fragment.. I only ever really use fragments on the homepage.

I concur, advised someone of this only today, they ignored it and 8 hours later they are stilling messing around with Javascript to try and do it.

            no more! The salty innuendos!!

Try making sure that you don't have any fragments highlighted in the content tree when you delete/move/cut/copy/compact/breathe!

yesterday I posted some magnificent javascipt to put fragments exactly where you want them, and it is very easy to set up, and works very well.

apart from the chap on there, who seems to be having a spot of bother.

                    I saw that, Gabe, thanks.
Actually I'm only "managing" fragments in a brochure page of only fragments so they should be going where I want anyway but they're not!

That said, I am going to have a play with your (ahem) method sometime over the weekend. Thanks for sharing it
