Content Page width problem

Hi, I am having problems trying to reduce the width of the content page.
I would like to reduce it to the same width as the top logo 762px.
I have added a picture so that you can see my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I presume the site is not yet online so do an offline poage preview and then cut and paste the URL into Firefox. Then use the Firefox plugin Firebug to Inspect the page - you should then easily see what to change.

click on the design tab, select the area and see what is the controlling variable and amend

or...

edit in dreamweaver, attach your css sheet to the design (so DW can see it), click on the area and view the CSS (top right of dreamweaver) and amend width there....

When viewed in Actinic and Dreamweaver the excess width is not shown, I am a novice with Actinic and simplistic advice would be very much appreciated...... If possible.

Then try my suggestion above or upload the site in Test Mode so we can see what's going on.

Hi,

I have pasted the code into Firefox and it is showing me that the site is set to 998px wide, i would like to reduce this to 762px but cannot find reference to the 998px anywhere in actinic content page or stylesheet.

How did you set the background colour?

Can you upload the site in Test Mode then you can give us a URL to look at.

The background colour is set in Design, Themes, Colour Scheme.

Unable to upload site in test mode at present.
