Thanks to all who have offered solutions.
I now have two potential answers here.

That's great, along the lines I was thinking.
Would there be a similar solution using your 'Norlist' product?
The client quite likes that style of menu.

I think the light just came on and I now understand what you are saying.
This looks like the solution I will use unless the client insists on 'flyout' menus.
Also, just realised what you are saying about competition.
Is the 'SimplyNatural' site one of yours?

It's one i designed yes, but it is not my site, nor do i run it. It was launched 2 weeks ago and guy is filling it out at the moment. I thought you knew i had created it, apologies if i appeared a little vague.

At least I kept my integrity!
Not too worried about us building for competition as they are totally seperated geographically and are not a straight fit in terms of products.
However, you can see though why I thought it might be unethical to ask the designer direct.
Then I find that I am doing that by accident anyway.
Totally embarassing!!!!
