Stock warning message - I need it to read on one line

    Hi Guys 'n' Gals,

We currently have our products laid out in one line with quantity and a single add to cart button.

When a product is out of stock a message appears "The product above is out of stock" I edited this in Design|Text|Website(cont)|General Information

The problem is the message appears on two lines on the right hand side, I would rather it appeared on one line so not creating a huge white space between the out of stock product and the one below.

Could someone make a suggestion please?

    Kind regards,

    Paul

can you give us an example product/url, please?

editted because I found an example here

in order to get the message all on one line, you would need to play about with your widths.

currently your product description is set at 75% meaning you only have 25% left for your quantity box and stock messages.
Set these to 60/40 and the stock message fits on one line but, of course, your description box becomes narrower (more obvious with longer descriptions) and your quantity space because rather bare if you have no stock message visible.

Alteratively, you could move your stock message to below your description instead?
I'm sure there are other suggestions but there's 2 to play with

Tracey - can you give me a quick pointer to where the width adjustment can be made?

            Thanks,

in your product layout..you have something like

              <td width="75%" valign="top" align="left"> followed (somewhere) by ProductDescription

and, further down.. you should see <td width="25%" align="right"> with the quantity prompt and out of stock message.

              Does that help?

you could also lose a few <br/> from it..that might close the space up a bit more.

Tracey - used the table width method, works a treat!

                    Many thanks
