    Dead image link

    Any ideas why the banner in the middle of the page is not appearing on this page of my clients site:

    http://www.greatmusic.co.uk/acatalog...log/index.html

    All the rest of the images are coming from the same folder and the rest of the pages within the music section use the same template.

    About to go live before the weekend and this is the final glitch with the site. Have been going round in circles trying to fix this last prob!

    Cheers
    Charlie

        If it's the 10% image you are referring to, then it is not working on mine either.

        Right click on the image and select 'properties'. Note where it is looking for the image. You will see it is looking in a different place to all of the others. I'd check your image reference, you appear to have pointed it incorrectly. Ideally you want the image sitting within the acatalog folder, which you do by pointing to the image location within your site1 folder. If you get any problems with it being picked up, then you add it into additional files also.

            Is it an IE7 issue? - FF shows it fine.

                    The flash thing is annoying, I changed that some time ago. Guessing its not uploading the updated file with the additional files, better check.

                    So, if its an IE7 thing, how do I fix this?! Its doing it in Safari too.

                    Cheers

                        I see a missing discount image and the source is

                        <img src="/images/10-Percent-Discount-Banner.gif" alt="10% Discount on ALL orders over &pound;20" width="317" height="20">

                        It's probably that leading / that's doing it. I guess you've got this hard-coded into a Layout. Try changing to

                        <img src="images/10-Percent-Discount-Banner.gif" alt="10% Discount on ALL orders over &pound;20" width="317" height="20">

                        Or, even better, move the image into your Site folder and use

                        <img src="10-Percent-Discount-Banner.gif" alt="10% Discount on ALL orders over &pound;20" width="317" height="20">

                        Whichever you do, make sure that the image filename uses exactly the same capitalisation as in the <img ...> tag.

                          Cheers Norm. Its weird that the rest of the images are set to /image/filename.gif and work fine though.

                          Will have a crack at renaming them shortly, I might have to come back to you on this though!

                          Thanks
