Help Regarding Contact Form

I want to add a field to submit post codes as part of a contact form.

I've managed to add area to the form but I've done a few tests and its not being sent as part of the email is there something i'm missing?

do a forum search using "contact form" as search phrase, there is a wealth of other posts discussing how to do this

Have you made the changes as per the instructions in the AUG? I'm sure i have seen an article about doing this in there.
