Aye - the kiter guy is actually my brother! Cheaper on the model release fees .. and always wanted to cut the sod in half

Darren have you got this sorted now? I thought I did sent you the original .fla files to edit the kite directly in there?

      Hi Ya Jont

Jees long time no hear, hows it hanging then?

Anyway, i just wanted to add a kite image over the top, but all sorted now just needed to add the couple of lines to the object tag. thanks to fergus for finding it on some forum, i must have been searching on the wrong things.

The original .fla files ? i have the swf files if thats what your talking about.

Actually how did your brother feel about his claim to fame then, well hardly fame i guess but YKWIM and then to be sliced in half

      Cheers

He loves his 2 inches of fame

Been up to my neck with Christmas and the MiL so not been on as much lately... still manage the odd peek to ensure you are all on the straight and narrow!

PMSL all on the straight and Narrow

I recon your best off being busy anyway, things still get a bit touchy around here, yesterday was one of those days, actually i noticed Norman got a little hot under the collar, very out of character if you ask me.

your brothers 2" of fame, im not so sure that is something he would brag about

If you saw him you would understand his need to brag about 2"

What happened yesterday? Don't think I have seen that thread yet...

I shall have to have a closer look at this one when I get time. I spent ages trying to get a slide out navigation to go over the top of flash. I gave up in the end and moved the flash down the bottom out of the way. I came to the conclusion (which was confirmed in a text book on flash), that flash is always on top.
Maybe the book was wrong after all.

Brian it certainly works, i have a seperate div for the image and it's postiion is specified in the css file, all i did was add the code to the object tag as shown above and everything worked fine

Funny though, in actinic preview the flash does not show, i just get a grey box, but now with the transparent comment has disappeared, i had not quite expected it to become transparent in actinic but it does, so i guess if your messing with adding flash you might not want to add the command so you can see how it is postioned, once you happy then add it in

Does that make sense, probably not

I tried bugg**ing around with this problem for ages & couldn't find an answer. I am sure I tried the transparent thing, which you can set inside flash, but it was so transparent, I couldn't see it at all!
The flash bits are outside actinic pages, and all flash is shown in grey in Dreamweaver. Have a look at this example http://www.ackermanmusic.co.uk/clarinet_care.html
I ended up doing away with the slide out menu on this sort of page.
I shall have a look at trying it again tonight.
