Steps in checkout. Number Them!

Hi All,

Yes I know it is not an option at present to reduce the number of steps in the checkout.

But is it possible to number the steps i.e. “Step 1 of 5” or something similar. This may help with the customer frustration levels as they currently don’t know when they are going to get to the end of the process.

We've added a 'Checkout Progress Indicator' into the checkout in v9, which is on beta at the moment. I suggest visiting the 'v9 beta discussions' topic, downloading and installing the beta and nicking the code for v8.

Hi Mal,
I too don’t want to waste members time if the question has already been answered.
I did a search using the “Google” method described in Sticky: How to search this forum to get better results, I obviously used the wrong search terms “checkout steps” did get some posts but not what I was after.
