    Hiding Sub Sections

We are currently using the Single-Product-Page method and have recently installed NorList. It's a great improvement but as you can see hereif you go to
Computing | Software | Operating Systems | Windows VIsta Home Basic SP1
the navigation takes you directly to the subsection the product is in. We would rather it just go to Computing | Software | Operating Systems.

Is is possible to hide the subsection the product is in on the navigation?

you could create a true/false custom variable to define whether a section is displayed in the menu or not and wrap the menu (or whichever parts of it are relevent) in a blockif to only show sections where the variable is true.

Then set the product sections to false so they won't show in the menu.

      Hi Tracey,
Thanks for replying so quickly. So could I do it so it only hides it from the navigation, and not all of the meta tags and descriptions?

if you use your blockif in your menu only, it will be the only thing that will be affected by it. Actinic won't take any notice of the true/false variable other than when building the menu.

The meta details are in the page, not the menu and the page still exists and is accessible from the listings pages.
