Actinic templates

Hi Everyone,

First off, apologies if this has been asked before. Just after some general guidance.

We have a client that would like shop much like www.novatech.co.uk

Points he likes about it.

1. the design is fluid and stretches to fit the page - so not a set width.

2. Main categories all along the top.

3. Complete categories down the left side.

4. Lots of use of helpful marketing banners etc etc down the left and right columns.

5. Once a category is clicked on - main sellers in thumbnailish format - when these are clicked upon, the full details are shown. Links to full section lists etc.

This would be a good starter for 10.

So, 2 questions really. Are there templates like this available for Actinic? And if not, is it possible for this to be done with Actinic (if so, who does this sort of stuff)?

A shove in the right direction would be most appreciated

Easy answer to this is yes, anything can be done with v8 and v9.

the more difficult bit is doing it - there probably is not an off the shelf template, so you would be looking to finding a compatible one and amending it yourself.

Your choice - either to DIY or find someone more experienced to price it for you

Using the design wizard in v9 with get you most of it in a few minutes then its just a question of adding a few bits here and there.

The v9 wizard is really suited to get you into the ball park design wise or for those not wanting to hack any HTML. As a web designer you may be better going the DW route and integrating Actinic into your own design for ultimate freedom (and sanity)
