    Stopping People Stealing Images

    Hi,

    I am tired of people pinching images from my website(and text). I have seen this article on how to stop people right clicking and saving photos. I know those that know what they are doing can still get around this but if I were to use this method

    <script language=javascript type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function nocopy() {
    if (event.button==2) {alert ("Sorry! You can't copy this picture."); }
    }
    -->
    </script>

    how and where do I put the code. I am fairly clueless when it comes to doing this I warn you so please give any info in words of 1 syllable! - do I have to add this to every single image an piece of text? Any info very greatfully recieved.

    Don't do it Rachel, watermark them instead. Long discussions on the forum already if you want to get a rounded discussion on what to do.

      To be honest your wasting your time, you might stop a small percentage of people but not many.

      you put it on your page and i can still copy every image on your site. simply viewing the site will copy them onto my pc, save the pages e.t.c

      watermark your images, its the best way you can also set up hot linking aswell, this i find effective, especially when someone links directly to your images you can replace the image with a nice advertising banner.

      seriously dont bother with this root, i find it annoying as i use right click for a lot of other things. IMHO

            a faint overlay on your images, with your company name or something similar.

            a bit like what istock do http://www.istockphoto.com/file_clos...php?id=1593717
