Dynamic Page Titles in Actinic

Hi all,

I was recently advised to change how my page titles work to how Actinic automatically show them. As an example:

Can Crusher, Household Eco Friendly Products – ItMustBeGreen

Where Can Crusher is the Product, and Household Eco Friendly Products is the Section.

Presently it is displayed as ItMustBeGreen - Can Crusher - ItMustBeGreen.

Is there a way to change these automatically or must I do this all manually? Have I been advised correctly - or should I leave it how Actinic does it? I was told to ensure the product name is at the forefront of the title (currently it is not).

I'm happy to type it all in manually if that's the best way, but any other thoughts would be welcome.

There is some info in the AUG about this, which changes the Page Title to:

Page Name, Site Name

Thanks - I did a search in the user guide without luck, I'll take a look at the AUG (which I presume I can download from the Actinic site)

Thanks - I've found the section in the guide. It asks me to replace the PageTitle variable with new code. I've found the Page Title bit but am not sure how to replace what's there with the new code? Right clicking on it gives me the option to edit appearance but not to edit the variable?

Delete the 'PageTitle' from the code (shown in your image).
Copy the code from the AUG and paste it where the PageTitle variable was.
Simple as that.

Thanks Jarvis - I got the code in there nice and easy and then refreshed the site. However, the page titles are still the same as before.

Do I now delete the blocks I don't want showing up and keep the ones I do? Ideally, I want Product name first, then section, then my company name.
