    Products on Home (Brochure) Page

    Hi all,

    I've been using Actinic for a little while now, and I'm fairly happy with how it all works.

    However, I want to display products from two specific sections on our brochure home page and I can't get it to work! I've looked in the AUG and on the knowledge base - I found a good tutorial on including top level section lists but not on directly displaying the products within them.

    Is it possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Your could created two fragments with images and links to the specific products or you could manually add the respective products to your Best Sellers or New Products marketing lists.

      Hi, thanks for that, but I'm already using both New Products (as Special Offers) and Best Seller Lists already. Also what I'm really trying to achieve is dynamic insertion of all products from specific sections - so the products on the home page mirror exactly the products in the actual section.

      Thanks,

      Chris

        you need to look at Gabriel Crowe's post/tutorials on using Blocks.
        I think they're still stickies at the top of the forums somewhere

          Hi Tracey, thanks a lot for that, you were spot on!

          I swear I searched and searched for this before posting - just shows how important using the right search terms are...

          I found Gabriel Crowe's Blocks tutorial 5 and I was able to use this from it:

          <actinic:block type="EntireSectionList" >
          <actinic:block type="ProductList" >
          <actinic:block if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22SectionName%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20%22My%20Section%22" >
          PRODUCT LAYOUT
          </actinic:block>
          </actinic:block>
          </actinic:block>

          So now I just need to sort out the product layout (and read Gabriel's tutorials!)

          Thanks again, you've saved me hours of searching

              Better than Ace, I think I was actually going cross-eyed looking through those other posts!
