Hi

I'm new to all this customisation, so I apologise if I’m asking what is an obvious question.

I’ve just been going through the Advanced User Guide to try and find out how to do something, but there doesn’t seem to be any info.

In a rash moment I thought of offering a free gift at my store obtainable by entering a Voucher Code. What I then want to do is the tricky bit. If (and only if) a code is entered, there should be a couple of questions appear (maybe on the next page if that’s easier) that ask for details about the free gift so that I know what to send. Something like:

Gift Size: Small or Medium (can be a drop down or radio buttons)
Gift Colour: Red or Blue (again, can be a drop down or radio buttons)

And then I need to have the results stored(?) and displayed on the Packing List somewhere, doesn’t have to be with the list of products purchased.

Am I wandering in to something really complex after coming up with, what I thought was, a simple idea?

Any suggestions gratefully received, even if they are along the lines of "don't even attempt it"!!

How about a four different coupon codes instead, one for each gift variation.

Good suggestion, I hadn't thought of that.

It would work for the offer displayed on the site but it's also tied in to an advert that is in a magazine and there isn't room for all of the offer codes.

Then just have one coupon code on the ad and explain on the site that you must add RS for Red Small, RM for Red Medium etc.

Not ideal I agree but a simple solution.

I suppose what you're saying is that my requirements are probably either too complex or not possible.
