Choices choices, don't forget your stabilisers.

Actually having sunk a few bottles of tangle foot, and read it a zilllion times i see what you mean.

OK i will see about this tonight if not tomorrow, small steps 1st i will create these variables holding the flash and check they all work fine on my current setup, then move onto the block part.

Thanks for your help always appreciated

Right im done for the night, all the different flash's are neatly enclosed into their own little variables, much neater. Tomorrow blocks

But i have different flash for different sections...
Then use a variable that contains the name of the flash file.

If variable is not empty -> Display the flash using variable as a parameter.

You may need a few additional variables if each bit of Flash needs different values.

You can streamline it again by careful naming of the files to match the use of variables eg: filenameN.swf ... with N being your variable of choice.

If you plan ahead you can reuse the variables scoped at section levels over and over again to handle different aspects of the design.

Oppologies to the original poster for hijacking your thread, but think this will help others along the way.

Thanks for the help and you know im going to be back, but i need to understand blocks in my head and im sure once i crack the theory it will all fit into place. I just need to turn it into darrenese logic

                    lol its not a problem

It all helps so I am glad to see that you are able to make it happen. I am sure once I get started on it, I'll have more to add anyway.

I have a guy coming here to give me 1-1 training on Dreamweaver/web design and part of that I want them to give me an overview of Actinic. It's only a days course so I don't expect to come out a bonefide programmer or anything like that, but I'd like to think I'd be a bit mor informed about why things work the way they do - including Block stmt and Span tags etc. Also on CSS the X Y axis, which part of 0px 10px 0px 10px relates to what.

I think one days training will be a good start. Trouble is I change things so often as we grow (and learn), I need to be able to make changes myself.

I have to say the forum is an invaluable tool for me.
Okay, I pulled the pin. Now what?... Wait!...Where are you going?
