one more thing is that the normal way of moving fragments around does it on every fragment in that section this way allows only 1 section to move, so you have the ability to sandwich your list of sections in between 2 fragments

I hope this response will not deter you from posting helpful tutorials in the future. The forum needs people who are prepared to offer more than they take away.

There has been a spate of posts, particularly over the past few months Simon, with people spamming or trying to gain links or exposure to their sites. I read most of your first posts and they just seemed very suspect, following the typical spam model. New poster, 3 links to sites in signature and you didn't seem to be saying anything useful, just reiterating what had already been said in the thread. This is the classic spam method we've been seeing and we might just have smelt a rat instead of a rose. If you are not a spammer, then cool, join the community, it just looked suspect and rung alarm bells the way you started on here.
If you are genuine, apologies and welcome to the community.

Happy ten thousandth post Jo!
Simon,
For what it's worth perhaps a slight rewording of the tutorial to "One method to move fragments above sections...." may have meant you received a slightly different response.
I couldn't agree more with your first piece of advice....

There are lots of different ways of doing things of this nature in Actinic; through the drop-down selectors, re-coding the layouts and variables, PHP generated HTML etc etc
It can be a case of different strokes for different folks. Perhaps your method came across as a bit too much as you stating THE DEFINITIVE way to do it, when in fact you were simply trying to offer your experience to other users of a similar ilk in a similar situation.
So, as Jo says, keep 'em coming, however be mindful of the audience they are directed toward.Fergus Weir - teclan ltd

No problem Simon - as lee says you just looked very suspect. Your best bet would be to try and answer questions posted rather than tutorials as there are many ways of doing the same thing and I can say that for a new user it's not always obvious. So please keep trying as many others here simply take and never give. Welcome

Hello all, I'm a bit late to pick up this thread, but can confirm Simon is no spammer, I spent quite a bit of time with him off forum last week trying to automate his porduct layout a bit. We did a lot on blockifs and I recomended he read Gabe's tutorials too.
It would seem that he's using what he's learned with vim. I think we may have been a bit quick to hang, draw and quarter him
Simon well done for using your new actinic knowledge, blockifs will serve you well. It's a shame there is a quicker method in this case, but don't let it get you down.
