Product Layout in Library, but not available at product level

Hello,

I have produced a custom Product Layout by editing an existing one, and then exported a design snapshot just containing that layout.

The recipient installation can see the new layout when browsing Design>Library, but cannot see the layout offered in the dropdown from the Layout tab on the product.

Has anyone else come across this - what could cause a product layout NOT to be available to select on the product?

common problem (and probably explained in the Help somewhere!)

You need to ADD it to the drop down selector.

Design, library, Layouts, Products
click on the Product Layouts SELECTOR (pink swirly icon) and, in the VALUES tab, add it to the available options.

Thank you very much for that. It was fine on my machine although when deploying the partial design - I had neglected to include the relevant layout selector!

Alec if you used a design snapshot I would advise that you check all of your selectors in the imported snapshot. Design snapshots don't seem to fair too well when carrying over the Values of selectors.

yes, Actinic not transferring over all the values in the selectors is, sadly, a common occurance.
