Which version of dreamweaver?

I'm going to attempt..with'attempt' being the appropriate word to design a site with Dreamweaver.

Bearing in mind i've no real experience of such things, will version CS3 be ok?

Seems silly paying hundreds for the next version when i'm probably not going to get the best out of it anyway.

Is there any advantage in the newest version?

CS4 is not fully supported yet (it is in the v9.0.4 update) ... even so CS3 is still more than capable at producing top notch sites. Save the money and buy a decent book on using it - you will need it.

There are still bugs in Dreamweaver CS4 and CS3 is so much better documented (added to the fact of Jont's post) - CS3 is surely the way to go.

DW 8 still does it for me. (Only recently changed from MX2004)
