Discount Question

I have 5 different products in a permutation with a different quantity discount for each.. The problem is how do I get the discount to show? The numbers work in checkout ok, but people don't know there's a discount to they get there. I know I can add html and display it that way, just trying to save work. Maybe I'm missing something?
