creating multi page breadcrumbs

I would like to add a traditional page breadcrumb eg. Page1> Page2> Page3 ,
so that a product page does not become too long, I would like to have the breadcrumb at the top and the bottom of the page which is the usual convention. This would only apply to some product pages, have any of you
achieved this ?

Probably dead and buried and moved on or solved but you could probably do this using block if's around the SectionLevel variable in a layout list.
