    Safe to remove old Customvar?

I am editing a layout from v7 that I have registered as a design using Dreamweaver. I am now using it in v9.

I have this line in the file: <img src="CUSTOMVAR:SITEPATH/nav_soft_fruit_propogators/logoshape.gif" />

Is there anything wrong with making this src="logoshape.gif", missing out the CUSTOMVAR?

I am used to using Actinic, and HTML...but not the depths of Actinic v9! Would also be way better if there was a book explaining all this stuff!!

it looks like the CMV is pointing to a specified path.. so long as your image is kept in the root of the site folder then <img src="image.gif> is fine and you can delete with impunity.

Just to note - if you are placing images into the outer layout / design then these should be kept in the root of the Actinic site folder ... fragment and product images can be placed into sub-folders of the Actinic site folder and pointed to accordingly.
