    Coloumn Count for sub-sections

    Hi .
been looking all yesterday but cant find a solution!

I wish the top level section coloum count to be 3 - sorted OK!

But the sub-section coulumn count I want to be 1 on some sub-sections.
I created two new variable based on the two column count variables, i can find where I can create a 'new section layout' but I can find where i can set my new variable to give me the required layout for these sub sectons.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks
    Martyn

The 'List Layout' is what controls this area although from what you say, it sounds as though you just need to select the sections in question and set the column counts on them.

Just looking at your message, has a eureka moment, went to variables and unticked allow parent option in the coloumn count variables, and put in an initial value of 3 to match my initial coloumn count. But i can now change the value as necessary in my sub sections.
Now all section/sub section coloumn count are changable

      Thanks

That doesn't sound too much like a eureka moment, removing use parent is not something you want to be doing. Whether you have the use parent on or not, you can change what you said you can anyway. On any drop down list that says 'use parent', just click on it and it will expand showing you the other options.
