Best Sellers Layout

Hi

I've inserted a best sellers section but it's only appearing in the content section on the home page, How do I set it up to display best sellers and new products on the left side bar?

Have a look in site options at the standard options open to you, in the sidebar is one of them.

I've tried that, I've tried left side, left side and middle and all sorts. It will place it in the middle but on the middle and left and just left it doesn't show?!?

Then i'd suggest that you either have your own theme without the selectors for that area added or you have removed them as part of other alterations. Presuming of course you have activated the lists in the marketing menu. Take a look at the standard themes and how they have the code in the various places, always good to refer back to them to see how it is done.

If you know your way around the theme you are using, you could also right click where you want it to show and 'insert layout' and put the selector/variable in place.

Thanks for the advice, I'm currently just using the Silver theme and have just added my own logo in that's it so far. I deleted the example content (using business trial atm) and the new products and best sellers menus vanished from the left hand side but not the centre, strange. Will have a play around see if I can get them back as everything seems to be set up properly in the Settings > Site options > layout section.

When you activate the list, do products get listed below on that screen, perhaps you have removed the products that populate the lists?

I use:

<Actinic:Variable Name="NewProductListSidebar"/>

and

<Actinic:Variable Name="BestSellerListSidebar"/>

in my designs.
