    New and Confused

    Hi

I'm moving across from and trying to replicate our existing website (www.woolnstuff.co.uk) in terms of one product per page. At the moment we have product categories and an image of the products we sell. You then click on the image and it takes you to an individual page per product where you can order from.

I've seen some Actinic example stores set up in this way but I just can't figure out how to do it eg the retro sweets and cake site. Any ideas how do this?

    Thanks

    Vickie

Forum Regular leehack has a tutorial on his site explaining how to set-up 'Single Product Per Page' (aka SPP) which should help achieve what you are after if I have understood correctly.

Lee, have you been playing with your time machine again.
When I replied yesterday there were no replies, but get an email at 9:05am saying you have replied but appears on the site as 5:54pm yesterday before my post. If it is not a time machine perhaps you have put yourself on a list of new members whose posts need to be checked by the moderators before being displayed after all you do have less than 15,000 posts.

LOL D, this one did confuse me i must admit, when i saw it, it looked as though you had replied a number of hours after saying similar to what i had said. I just presumed there was a glitch of some sort and my post hadn't shown.

The mystery post also has yourssignature links missing which you referred to in your post.

showsignature is unchecked on that post for some reason.

                Hi

I understand the Single Page per Product and can manage to set that up. I don't understand how to put thumbnails for example on the original section details page. Is that what fragments do?

                Thanks

Yes, or subsections. Both will work, but it depends on what you want, really.

If you use a fragment, then you can add a URL link on the Links page to point to the section of the actual product.

For the actual product, I use sections and subsections to create the breadcrumbs.

If I want to duplicate the product in another area, then I use fragments with a URL linked to the original section for the product.
