Top Level Section list on continued onto second line

can someone tell me if this is possible and how to do it.
I want to have my top level section list going horizontal across the page

This will make the list two large for the width of the page.
So I want it to go to the next line.

and for the backround images to be different on the second line etc.

You would need to go into the code, create a menu and float items left so they follow each other and wrap onto the next line. Alternatively use a menu plugin or mega menu.

Maybe my question was not very clear,

I do know how to make the menu wrap onto the next line and etc.

What I realy need to know.

Is there a way in CSS to make the second line have different backrounds than the first.

Is there a way to insert a toplevel section list and force it to only show certain section headings.

I could then insert two top level section lists, with each one only including the sections that I want to display.
I could then wrap each one in a different .div

Add a Condition like ListIndex == 5 to end one DIV and start the next.
