I have an inline list which I am using for a step-by-step indication of the procedure:
HTML
CSS
All is working peachy (few bits of styling not withstanding) except the last <li> also displays the ">" and shouldn't.
Tried all permutations of nth/last-of-type child in the selector to remove but seem to be missing something .. any suggestions most welcome as I have a huge chocolate egg awaiting me and just have egg on my face at the moment!
HTML
Code:
<ul class="steps"> <li>Step 1</li> <li>Step 2</li> <li>Step 3</li> <li>Step 4</li> <li>Step 5</li> </ul>
Code:
ul.steps {
list-style: none;
margin: 30px 0 0 0;
padding: 0;
}
ul.steps li {
display: inline;
margin: 0;
font-size: 16px;
padding: 10px 10px 10px 8px;
background-color: #e4e4ba;
}
ul.steps li:after {
content: ">";
padding-left: 10px;
}
