Shrink H1 size

I have some products that the short description is too long that as a H1 header it starts to go on to 2 lines.

I can't really shorten it, as it is the text that is needed, so I really need to compress it in size to stop it filling out into a 2nd line.

This is where it gets more complicated though.

I don't want a blanket compress of the H1 header as most products wouldn't require it.

So is it possible to have code or blocks to do the following

1) Check size of H1 header, and if greater than set level, compress H1 to fit?

Any ideas would be a great help.

Could you change the H1 Font to a compressed font alternatively use upper and lower case letters which take up less room

Hi Chris,

I think the amount it needs to be reduced by wouldn't really be possible.

Ideally I would drop it to a H2 to look better, but then this takes an SEO hit.
