    Problems while in test mode

    Am currently in test mode with protx and am getting the error

    This happens when I try to checkout.

      As Jo says we are all having fun (if thats the right word) with protx today and this could well be the cause of your problem.

      The thread Jo refers to is here

        error 5005 The vendor configuration is missing or invalid

        This is a vsp form transaction error apparently.

        I'm completely new to actinic and protx and can't seem to sort out this error.

        Any further help would be much appreciated

        Many thanks

        James

          I think you missed the point, James.
          EVERYONE has been having problems with protx all day today so there's a chance your error was nothing to do with your set up.
          Wait til protx is fully functional again (check the forum..status monitor updates etc) and try it again.
          Then, at least, people will know they're helping you solve a genuine set up problem and not a "temporary" Protx issue.

            This error has been occuring since tuesday morning, have the protx issues your reffering to been occuring since then?

              ok...given the circumstances, it may have been wise to have mentioned that initially

              It isn't a familiar Protx error to me..I wonder if it's a "new" one that used to have a different error message

              Does your Protx script have the testvendor details entered in it?

              (Located in your Site folder, CommonOCC, OCCPROTXScriptTemplate.pl

              should contain the lines

              my $sPassword = 'testvendor';
              my $sConfirmationEMail = 'test@test.com';

              maybe there is something not right in there? Just a suggestion anyway

                  James did you get to the bottom of this - im getting the same and there is no error code on the site help pages - probably as the new system is in place and they havent added the codes yet to the site. The test side works ok, its just when I switch to production

                    Did you mail Protx and ask them to switch you onto the live servers? It needs a change at their end as well as the changes you make in the templates/OCCUpgrade.ini files.

                      Ah thanks - I thought we had to switch our end then put an order through and refund but what you say makes sense. They say you need to put a transaction through on the live servers but I presume this means thorugh their admin interface and not actinic (as this is not possible) - thanks

                        You should already have put a couple of orders through test, including at least one (full or partial) refund. As long as you have done that they usually switch you over in minutes.
