Removing PSP

I want to remove one of my payment service providers, but when i try to do it I get this message:

The payment method is used as default by one or more customers and therefore cannot be removed.

I spoke to support about this and they said i had to go through each customer account and change the default setting. This will take ages - does anyone know a quick way to do this?

Any help on this time consuming task would be much appreciated.

Hi Jane.

You can do this quite easily within Access. Backup first.

Fiind and note an existing customer account that has the PM that you would like the 'other' account holders to have instead. Also note a customer that has the PM that you want to delete.

Close Actinic then in Access open the Customer table, find that first account holder entry and look at the corresponding value in the field nPaymentMethod. Then copy that value into all the other entries of the accounts you wish to change.

If you know Access well then you could do the same with an update query.
