    Dumping Paypal Pro

I have decided not to use paypal anymore because of the following:

    1) Their rates are too high - we are paying 2% which is their lowest fee.
    2) They do not accept Maestro cards and other commonly used cards.
    3) Refunds can take up to one month to reach our customer (ie 1 month after we have initialized a refund through paypal).
    4) Their virtual terminal rarely works for international currencies.
    5) Accounts and figures are often 'not available'
    6) You can only take payments from one site for each paypal account.
    7) If you open a second account for a second website you can't use the same bank account as the first site - What!? So need to budget for an additional set of business banking charges.
    8) Authorsied orders often end up in the Actinic 'pending payment' folder.

I thought this information may assist some of you in deciding on your PSPs.

    Best Wishes

Serious? Is HSBC that good, we bank with them and I did look gingerly at their payment system but kinda figured everyone is more familiar with Paypal so there wouldn't be much point and obviously if they already have a Paypal account then the transaction itself goes through much quicker.

Personally if I go to a site that has a number of options, I always choose Paypal as I don't have to hunt for my debit or credit card and put all the info in.

After some appauling experiences with Paypal in the past, it wouldn't take much persuasion to dump them and use HSBC.

What is PayOffline, is that simply setting it up so that folk have the option of sending a cheque or postal order or is this something entirely new?

          Cheers

Bloody ell, why didn't I know about that system? I saw payOffline in the options on Actinic but assumed this was what you ticked for customers to send you cheques or postal orders!

Oh the wonders of technology and progress!
