Hello. I am considering Protx, but there are 3 options, VSP Form, VSP Server and VSP Direct. The first two do not require an audit, but the third might, at some expense. I would like VSP Direct ideally, as this is seamless on the website with the Protx site not appearing to the customer, but am loath to pay for the audit at least annually, especially as it should not be necessary. I have a dedicated ssl certificate and do not store card details. When Actinic users on this forum as talking about Protx, which version are they talking about? And the Protx setup sticky on this forum - which version is it for? I want something easy to set up and run and as easy for my customers as possible.
Even if I choose VSP Form or Server, I may still need an audit, either now or in the future, if I am entering offline transactions on the virtual terminal, or through my own real terminal. There will always be people who order by telephone. If I have to pay the audit fee anyway then I might as well go for VSP Direct.
Alternatively, to put the cat amongst the pigeons, this audit fee may make it cheaper not to use Protx at all, but to go with the one-stop solution of HSBC. Though slightly more in transaction fees, it is not likely to require the audit, audit fees.
Any answers or thoughts?
