New User Requires PSP Advice Please?

Hi, we've put together a simple V9.0.1 site, uploaded for the first time today and hoped to use PayPal Express as our payment method.

Once live the site at checkout offers 2 buttons; Actinic Checkout and PayPal Checkout.

We have only PP setup, so why the Actinic button? anyone have expereince of this? If we take the Actinic checkout route it gets to completion but won't actually checkout, it simply stalls on the final page.

If we take the PP checkout route it transfers us to the PP login screen but there's no option to pay via CC and there's no transaction information available either! Gulp..

So in summary;

1) Anyone know why we have two checkout buttons when only one payment method is configured?

2) Does anyone use Express successfully as a primary payment method?

3) Can anyone give us any advice on what the best PSP might be if PP is as bad as some of the posts I've just been reading?

Hi,

Paypal Express Checkout only allows payments via a Paypal Account. If you want to allow customers to use a credit card with Paypal then you need to select the Paypal Pro option - see this thread for information on how to set it up.
